What’s new @ Portarlington Neighbourhood House
Literary weekend returns to Portarlington - Midwinter Words. Portarlington’s annual literary event, will be held on July 22 with appearances by authors Mark Smith, Greg Foyster and Dorothy Johnston. It will appeal to readers as well as writers, giving the audience an insight into the literary world of fiction and non-fiction. Book sales and author signings will follow the event.
Greg Foyster will run his popular workshop: Writing About the Environment, starting at 1:30pm. The workshop is capped at 20 participants and those attending will receive workshop notes and a book.
Tickets are available at the Portarlington Neighbourhood House, 28 Brown Street, Portarlington.
Panel discussion tickets are $10 each, while tickets including the workshop are $50. The Portarlington Neighbourhood House is open from Monday to Friday between 10 am and 3 pm except the first Thursday of each month, when it’s closed.
