Narana offers visitors an authentic, immersive Aboriginal cultural experience right here in Geelong.
Experience the world’s oldest living culture first hand with a free self-guided tour or by booking one of Narana’s visitor tours programs, delivered by expert cultural interpreters. Listen and learn about ancient dreaming stories, connection to country through Songlines, artworks, cultural artefacts, bush tucker or learn how to throw a boomerang on their purpose built boomerang range.
Nestled amongst native gardens is the Cultural Exhibition Building and Art Gallery featuring an extensive collection of artworks for sale to suit all budgets. Learn to gather and process native food and medicinal flora as you stroll through the bush-land garden and don’t forget to say hello to Narana’s new kangaroos, resident emus and wallabies.
The ‘Curragundi’ native garden features a revitalised waterhole with
the wetlands having sprung back to life, it’s now teaming with native birds, frogs and yabbies.
Narana’s inviting retail outlet displays a wide range of Indigenous arts and crafts, books, bush herbs, spices, didgeridoos, boomerangs and many other items.
Café Narana has launched a new menu offering a wide range of culinary delights for breakfast and lunch with a focus on fresh, indigenous flavours. Meals can be enjoyed indoors or outside on the deck. Specialty Seven Seeds Coffee is available and is a favourite with coffee lovers. The café is open for meals five days a week Tues-Sat 9am-3pm with coffee served until 4pm. (closed Sundays). Now open Mondays serving coffee and cake.
Experience unique and sacred stories and appreciate internationally recognized and emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists at Narana Art Gallery. Open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 10am-3pm. Free entry, all welcome.
